Bill Long moved from North Carolina to DC in 2006 to assume a new position coordinating volunteers, community education, and advocacy efforts at Friendship Place. Before that, he spent two years in Armenia as a Peace Corps volunteer in business and community development. Prior to that, he worked in production management in Durham, NC for 19 years.

Bill is an active volunteer with local non-profit organizations as well as a community activist for progressive causes.  He has a son, a daughter and three grandchildren.
