Thank you!

ChernerBrothers

Ben and Alex Cherner have built a booming little business — called TradeAssist — selling things online for family, friends and neighbors. After spending a summer volunteering at Friendship Place, Ben and Alex were touched by the stories of the men and women we serve, and graciously offered to put their eBay expertise to work in service of our mission. “We’ve run our own successful business for so long, and we feel like giving back, helping people with our success,” says Alex. “And we’re inspired by what Friendshp Place is doing.”

Our thanks to Ben and Alex for their tremendous generosity!

Of course, Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place always accepts cash donations, too!

FAQs

Do you require homeless people with mental illnesses to take medications?
Our case managers strongly encourage, but do not require our clientele to take medication for whatever condition(s) they may have, whether they are on the street or living in independent housing. The case managers work intensively with people experiencing mental illnesses and coordinate their care with the consulting physician and psychiatrist.
